Cartoonist and commercial artist Fred Royal Morgan worked for various newspapers, creating comic strips and cartoons such as The nut club for the Chicago American, and The bill's best bets for the New York evening graphic. He also worked for The New York daily mirror, and towards the end of his life he worked mainly as a commercial artist. He died in New York City in 1947, at the age of 62.
